I got stood up by a friend and was (sort of) stranded in Westgate. I braved myself and uttered the three words that I have not said in a while..
"Table for one."
To be honest, eating alone is boring but what choices do I have? I was delighted when I found out that they have an all-weekday promotion set for students and senior citizens (60 and above).
I've been a fan of Miam Miam's French Toast for quite some time, even when back in Malaysia before it was re-branded Franco. It seemed like a good idea to order some french toast together with a pasta student set. So I did.
Miam Miam specialises in French-Japanese cuisine and they have fusion dishes that are one-of-a-kind.
Seafood Arrabbiata Student Meal (S$8.90), comes with a glass of refillable tea.
It wasn't much of an arrabbiata but more of a bolognese as it wasn't spicy at all. Nevertheless, I'd say it was a pretty good seafood bolognese pasta (minus the minced meat).
Seafood was quite fresh for the exception of a single squid ring, which was a little tough to chew on. Prawn and clams were good.
The French Toast (S$10.80) was up to standards. Fragrant egg-dipped toasts with a scoop of whipped cream (no, it is not ice-cream. sorry to pop your bubble) and topped with maple syrup is the way to go! Definitely one of my all-time favs from the restaurant.

Toast was fluffy and not too sweet even with the maple syrup on. Spent my meal crowd-looking while popping pieces of toasts into my mouth.
The pricing is almost similar to the ones in Malaysia (about 1:1) so maybe I should have just waited a little longer and spend my money back in Malaysia. Oops.
Well, the patrons from the next table must be shocked when they saw me order a main and a toast to be finished all by myself but I decided to reward myself a little after a tiring weekend working at Chinese wedding banquets. I should probably stick to eating than serving food to others.
