First up, the reason we went to Jeju Island was actually because the sister wanted to go to GD's Monsant Cafe.
This was the second time at Jeju Island and we've been to most of the tourist attractions and somehow came to the conclusion that we should visit the Glass Castle Museum, for photo shots.

Anyway, it was pretty inconvenient to get to as we had to get a cab (as going via bus was a little bit of a hassle). It took us about 45 minutes to get there from Jeju City. You could check out Trazy's website for car rentals





It's actually quite a small place but the routes were planned and we took about 2 hours to finish the place (while snapping away, that is).



The "museum" is divided into different themes and you could find traditional and contemporary work there.





Coloured glass can ever be so pretty and interesting.

Mirrors and glass. Looks like the backdrop for a futuristic kpop MV, where the boy group will appear out of nowhere and start dancing.





OK HERE'S SOMETHING FUN: THE TOILETS ARE FUNCTIONAL!
Now you could pee while having a clear view of the outside world!

They also have a mini-garden for nature-ish exhibits. Cool stuff.
Recommended if you don't have anything to do and visited most of the popular tourist spots in Jeju Island. Heh.
Paid programs like glass blowing are also available for visitors.



-when mini melts are a huge thing in Singapore and you had to queue to get a cup, the Koreans have these at convenience stores-

A trip to Seoul won't be complete without dropping by Myeongdong!
Not only it is popular for the cheap cosmetics but one could find a plethora of street food there.

Will skip the shopping part as we got most of our stuff from all around Seoul and not only Myeongdong as each store has their own ongoing promotions and we found that the discounts and freebies given at less touristy areas are much more generous compared to the ones at tourist hot spots.

Now, to the food!





CHEESE TAIYAKI.
Wasn't as cheesy as I'd hoped but it was still worth the try. I mean, how often do you get to try cheese taiyaki?

I love how they lightly mash the potatoes and made it crispy on the outside.
I'm beginning to notice a trend here..





CHEESE SCALLOPS
Hands down, love it. The combination is just mindblowing! And flame torches yay!


YG REPUBLIQUE



We also had a quick dinner at YG Republique as it is owned by the YG Company (my sister being a diehard Big Bang fan). Lucky for us, it opened February this year.





The ground floor is a Korean BBQ place, Samgeori Butchers 삼거리 푸줏간, with limited choices for meat (pork only).

There are posters and kpop MVs upstairs, which is a pub. Needless to say, the sister went crazy taking selfies and Snapchatted the whole adventure.







Slightly pricey (₩14,000 for pork shoulder) but the meat is good though.

They also have a small cafe on the ground floor outside Samgeori if you are feeling for something lighter.

Welp. It's been a while since I last updated the travelogue (it's about three months after my trip to S. Korea).

After the lovely waffles at AND.here Cafe, we followed the signs (and a little bit of help from Google Maps) to Ihwa-dong Mural Village, a popular place for selfies and profile photos.
MAKE SURE YOU FOLLOW THE CORRECT SIGN!



The ground was veryyyyyyy steep and we had to "hike" a little. However, we managed to reach the spot showed on the photo above.
Go straight on to the mural village (unless you fancy a legit hike up the hill).







We were greeted by colourful houses and creative shops. You could even get a dreamy watercolour portrait of yourself.









UNFORTUNATELY, both of the famous stairs decided to undergo maintenance at the same time (the top one with the fishes and the bottom one with the flowers, popular due to the korean dramas shot here). It's probably restored by now, since the trip was back in June 2016.

Nevertheless, there were other murals that are quite instaworthy. Beggars can't be choosers. Moods shall not be ruined by under renovation stairs.







One of my favourite spots there, the BEFORE I DIE... wall.
Strangely enough, taking a photo with a BEFORE I DIE... wall was on my bucketlist.

Of course, there are other photoworthy and interesting murals/wall art in the Ihwa-dong Mural Village. Quite worth the walk uphill, and do visit if you are in the area!

You'll be greeted with an impressive view of the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) when you exit from the Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station. It is also located near the main shopping outlets that open till late night/early morning, some places even close at 5am!
Some of the outlets include Doota and HelloAPM.





The DDP is best viewed at night, as the place is thoroughly lit and the cooling night breeze definitely helps.



Snacked a little before continuing. THE STREET FOOD IN KOREA IS GOOD DAMNIT.



We (sort of) rushed to the Hyundai City Outlet before it closes as it was quite late then.

It's the Yellow Cafe, at the B2 floor of Hyundai City Outlet.

What's so special about this cafe, you may ask? It's a cafe dedicated to the famous must-drink 바나나맛우유, or simply known as Binggrae Banana Milk!
The bottled packaging is only found in South Korea, as far as I know. They have Binggrae Banana Milk in boxes here but it is certainly not as fresh nor as lovely as the bottled ones (you have to admit that the bottles are cute too). We tried.
Anyways, we had one bottle of it almost every day when we were in Korea. Mom's a huge fan. True story.



Banana-flavoured Milk Ice-cream (₩3,500), milky and banana-y.
Just like the Binggrae Banana Milk, this banana ice-cream most certainly does not have the overwhelming artificial banana taste like some other brands/food items but milky instead (the banana flavouring IS artificial though).



Banana Flavoured Milkshake with Ice-cream Topping (₩5,700).

To be fair, the items that we ordered tastes similar as the cafe is devoted to the Binggrae Banana Milk, and almost everything is from the banana milk. Didn't try their cheese tart nor pudding though.
